Our client,  a Deposit Taking Sacco regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) and based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit qualified and highly motivated individuals to fill the positions of a Teller in line with its growth strategy.

TELLER (REF: TEL/03/24)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive cash from the accountant and be fully responsible for such cash.
  • Receive cash from customers and pay customers against proper documentation.
  • Collects payments by accepting cash, cheque, and charge payments from customers.
  • Provides pricing information by answering customer questions.
  • Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Prepare the daily cash report reconciling remaining cash with the transactions of the day to establish any shortages or excess.
  • Management of mobile money transactions e.g. paybill and M-pesa float management.
  • Collating of cheques for banking.
  • Petty cash float management.
  • Any other work as given by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Business related degree or its equivalent.
  • Minimum CPA Part 2.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting field.
  • Proficiency in Ms. Office suite.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be of exemplary integrity and honesty.
  • Be proactive and have initiative.
