Project Manager – Donor Business & Consultancy Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manager to join a well-established and growing team at The Co-operative Bank of South Sudan to drive the growth of Donor Projects and Consultancy Business.

Reporting to In-Charge Co-operatives & Co-op Consultancy, we are looking for a person who combines relationship management expertise with business acumen, constructively challenges the business and provides valuable insight to ensure optimal decision-making outcomes.

The Role

The successful jobholder will be expected to:

  • Manage the various donor-funded projects carried out by the Bank.
  • Write proposals and tenders to NGOs and Donors for banking business including Project Management, consultancy services, CIT among others.
  • Market the Bank to Donor Agencies and International Organizations operating in the country.
  • Conduct consultancy services to various organizations including donor agencies, development partners, humanitarian organizations, NGOs, etc., to bring positive impact to the lives of people of South Sudan and earn revenue for the bank.
  • Work closely with various consultants contracted by the bank to deliver set objectives.
  • Provide capacity building to Co-operatives, pre-Co-operatives, associations, and other self-help groups
    to enhance socio-economic development of the people through wealth creation by working collaboratively with
    development partners/donors such as NGOs to directly impact agriculture, farmers, and Co-operatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the bank, donors/development partners, and other private sector players.
  • Coordinate donor project implementation and monitoring.
  • Provide leadership and relationship management to the bank’s Donor and NGO business by managing
    the portfolios and working with other business units for the growth of this business sector.
  • Assist in scoping business levels with clear wallet sizes of all partnerships.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The successful jobholder must be a South Sudanese national and possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with experience ideally in a leading organization, with a proven track record in Project Management, marketing & relationship management.
  • A Master’s Degree or relevant post-graduate diploma will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge (not less than 2 years) of Banking, donor relations, proposal writing, and/or general business will be an added advantage.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, documentation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at different levels.
  • Excellent sales and presentation skills with strong business acumen.
